PTA Blocked Phones are Illegally Unlocked in Black Market

It pretty much seems that Pakistan Black Market have the solution for every problem.

PTA known as (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) had started crack down on unregistered or illegal smartphones in Pakistan.

But, Guess What? The people have found a solution for PTA blocked phones, people can unblock it for as low as RS. 1500 to RS. 3000 depending on the person.

It’s not only unblocked by the mobile phone shopkeepers but also there are many individuals in Facebook Groups, who provides these solutions to people in much lower prices than in market.

In a meeting between Senate standing committee and Minister of (IT), Mian Mohammad Ateeq Shaikh raised the issue.

He said that the blocked smartphones are easily unblocked in the black market for as low as 1500 to 3000 PKR.

The senator has shown the receipt to the committee as a proof that someone had gotten their phone unlocked on the black market.

PTA has blocked those smartphones, which were not registered under the device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS), a system that the authorities launched last year in May.

The authorities must target the black market individuals, who are providing this unofficial services to public.

And also to ensure that the mobile phones, which PTA is blocking remain blocked forever unless the tax amount on it is paid.
