Hajj Applications to Open from 24th February

According to Noor Ul Haq Qadri, the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, He will start receiving Hajj applications on government quota from 24 February 2020.

Last week the federal government announced Hajj policy 2020, under which 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj this year.

They have set the ratio of government and private Hajj scheme at 40:60. The Minister Religious Affairs has advised the pilgrims to complete every single important document and arrange the amount beforehand to avoid any unwanted situations.

Pilgrims from the northern region will have to pay around Rs. 490,000 and the southern region’s pilgrims will pay around Rs. 480,000.

Any banks that have more than 250 branches will be able to receive the Hajj applications, Banks are going to keep the money of pilgrims only in Sharia-compliant account.

Anyone whose applications have been rejected in the last three years and are above 70 years old will be selected for Hajj this year naturally.

However, they should be required to furnish the application numbers for the previous three years.

Recently they have said that the process to submit an application of Hajj under government quota will last for only 2 weeks.

Previously, the road to Makkah project was launched for pilgrims leaving from Islamabad International Airport.

The brand road will allow pilgrims to undergo immigration and other paperwork at airports in his or her homeland so they don’t have to wait in long queues at Saudi airports.
