Ministry of IT Briefs PTA About Cybercrime

The Ministry of Information technology and telecommunication has conducted PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) to analyze its SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in consultation with the ministry to curb cybercrimes, other than blocking illegal online content.

On Wednesday, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui The federal secretary ministry of information technology and telecommunication chaired a meeting regarding cybercrime,

The chairmen of Pakistan telecommunication Authority Maj Gen (R) Amir Azeem Bajwa was also present in the meeting.

The Chairmen of Pakistan telecommunication advise the Federal secretary Ministry of Information technology about the role of PTA blocking illegal online content.

The meeting also discussed the role of FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) in controlling cybercrime in Pakistan.

The Chairmen of Pakistan Telecommunication also informed the meeting about the problem regarding the blocking of illegal content.

The Federal Secretary Ministry of Information technology emphasized the desire for joint efforts by Pakistan telecommunication and Federal Investigation Agency to block illegal online content,

Other than directing Pakistan telecommunication Authority to analyze the Standard Operating Procedure in consultation with the Ministry of Information technology.

The Federal secretary also conducted the Pakistan telecommunication Authority and Federal Investigation Agency to submit a progress report regarding the Blocking of illegal content and action taken for crimes committed in the cybersphere.
