Hacker Creates a Device That Can Unlock Luxury Cars

A Hacker from San Francisco named ‘EvanConnect’ has recently developed a brand new device that helps users break into any kind of luxury car that uses a wireless key fob system.

Hacker named the device “Keyless Repeater” which is for sells $9,000 and demonstrated how it works in a video that he recently released on social media.

Actually, Dailymail.co.uk reported on Friday that, the video clip displays him approaching an unattended car that belongs to his friend who gave him permission to use it and using the small handheld device with an antenna to unlock the driver’s side door of the luxury car and start the engine.

In the video clip, the hacker admits there is no guarantee as to how his customers could use the brand device to hack luxury cars.

In interview hacker said that his brand new device works on every luxury cars except for those that use frequencies between 22 and 40 kHz,

Such as Audi, Rolls Royce models released after 2014, Porches, Bentley, and even Mercedes.

Furthermore, Hacker also mentioned the upgraded version of the same device is for sell $12,000 which can actually unlock any car that uses a wireless fob system.

Hacker said that “Honestly I can tell you that I have not stolen a car with technology, it is very easy to do, but the way I see it, why would I get my hands dirty when I can make money by just selling the tools to other people.”

After reviewing EvanConnect’s footage, a security expert Mr. Samy Kamkar said that the keyless repeater technology is commonly known in the field.

Kamkar added: “I cannot validate that the video is legitimate but I can say that it is 100 percent reasonable (I have personally performed the same attack on more than a dozen vehicles with hardware I’ve built and very easy to demonstrate),”
