Punjab Govt is Introducing Microsoft and Google Courses for School Students

The Education Minister of Punjab Govt, Murad Raas, says that they are introducing Soft Skills courses of the multi-national IT companies Google and Microsoft for High School Students.

He further mentioned that he is in contact with Google and Microsoft for this decision.

Both of the companies are also expected to visiting Pakistan this year for the first time in history.

The decision of providing the certifications of soft skills is due to the lowest rate of skill set and the dropout issues in most of the population of Pakistan.

The education minister said in a video interview that,

“Last week I was In London, and I met with Google and Microsoft. I have asked them to come here in Pakistan. In this summer, for the very first time they are coming to Pakistan Insha ALLAh.

I asked them that not all the students in Pakistan are going to persue further studies after 9th or 10th, and that is what the way it is and we cannot change that.

Not every child has to become a plumber, not every child has to work on a store, Why cant we give them better skills? The new world is technology.

In Grade 9th and 10th, lets offer them software skills, so if they couldn’t continue their studies after matric, they still have the skills through which they can get job in their early age in Pakistan.

Companies are requiring skills rather than degrees, and if this type of initiative implements in the society so there could be a major impact of unemployment reduces in future.

There are different experts and institutions who already have an idea about the importance of skills, and also mentioned about the degrees of the university which is gonna be a trash bin in the future.

There are a lot of students graduating every year, and less of them has the key skills through which they secure jobs. This initiative by the Education minister is a good step in the govt of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
