Azim Premji Donates Over 53,000 Crore To Charity
Azim Premji is the India’s second richest man, on wednesday Azaim Premji gave away 34 percent of his shares in Wipro LTD to charitable causes, making his status as the most philanthropic Indian.
Social media was appreciating for the philanthropist with some calling him ‘corporate robinhood’.

The Azim Premji Foundation works in education in the country and supports several non-profit organizations.
“The Foundation’s extensive field work in education has been in some of the most disadvantaged parts of India, to help contribute to the improvement of quality and equity of the public (government) schooling system,” it added.
The Azim Premji Foundation has successfully established Azim Premji University in Bengaluru.
India’s second richest man was the first Indian to sign the giving pledge started by American billionaires, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to commit at least 50% of their fortune to philanthropic work.
