Govt is Making a COVID-19 App for Journalists

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Media and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan recently announced an app designed specifically for the media personnel.

The brand new App is named “COVID-19 Care For Media” and they are going to launch it today at the information ministers’ video conference on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Furthermore, The details related to the brand new app were shared on her official twitter account, actually, this brand app for journalists, every journalist from Pakistan can register themselves and their families vie the app.

Through this brand app, they can directly report and Coronavirus related cases and get any assistance they need.

She continued that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is seriously concerned for the well-being & safety of media personnel.

While Providing a timel facility to journalists, the app will also help in determining the correct number of affected individual as it is designed to collect real-time data.

Apar from this, the video press conference scheduled to be held later in the day will discuss problem regraded to safety, precautions, final strategy to pay dues to media houses as well as the mechanism for distribution of protective kits among journalists and media workers who already have and will visit infections spots for coverage.
